life has been busy...

just wanted to update this thing quickly...

I'm back to work, and VERY busy. Between work, time with Bob, house hold chores, this pregnancy, and preparing for baby I haven't had the time for much. Plus I'm in bed by 8:00pm most nights since being pregnant... so going out after work is pretty much out of the question... by the time I come home and eat dinner I'm exhausted, this pregnancy has totally taken all my energy.

I'll be 15 weeks pregnant tomorrow... 25 more weeks to go... I can't wait till the end when I meet my baby. This pregnancy experience has been ehhh... I can't wait to have my body back. Between feeling sick, and feeling totally exhausted and emotional it's hard to totally enjoy this pregnancy. Everything is going smoothly, which I am totally thankful for. But I'm not going to miss feeling so crappy all the time.

And I know there are people out there that say "yes you will miss it" but that's just my personal opinion. I'm more looking forward to having the baby home and raising our child and doing things with our child. :)

But ya, I need to get to my school work... talk again later.

The Best Sound...

So on Monday August 31st Bob and I went to the baby doctor for the 1st time... they did all kinds of testing, which I knew they would do. but the very last thing they did was listen to the baby heart beat... It was the best sound in the world... I was smiling from ear to ear. It was such an amazing sound. It made being pregnant feel so much more real. The doctor said since I have no previous health problems that this pregnancy should go pretty smoothly. She was shocked that I had never had a surgery, or any real medical problems... ::laughs:: I guess I'm just lucky I guess.

The morning sickness has gone away... most days I am feeling good now, there are stil days that I don't feel 100% but they are becoming less and less. The only thing is that I am tired a lot, and I know as I get bigger I will just get more tired. But in the end... this is all worth it to have a beautiful baby.

I'm anxious to meet baby. I often sit and wonder what he or she will look like... will the baby have dark hair, dark eyes, olive skin like Bob... or will the baby have light hair, light skin and light eyes like me... or will the baby have a little of both. Only time will tell. I am looking forward to seeing my baby for the first time. I am looking forward to learning and growing with him or her. I am looking forward to all the first, I am looking forward to being a mom.

When I am out in town, when I see babies I always smile now... I picture me pushing the stroller, or giving a bottle. I can't wait to fall into the "Mom" roll. Once school starts and I am making my full pay again we are going to get a move on with the baby room. Which I am looking forward to. It'll be cute once we're done.

Mom told me the other day that she is going to buy the baby crib. Which is awesome! And then after that I really wont get much because I'm going to wait till the baby shower. I'm just going to buy a closet and stuff to decorate the room I bit. :)

Well, I've got to go... talk again later.

Week 12

My Baby

Now measuring between 2 and 3 inches from crown to rump, the fetus is busily doing his stretching and kicking exercises, That only the mother will be able to feel. All major organs are in place, and his brain, nerves, and muscles are starting to function. Although his gender was determined at conception, external genitalia won't fully develop for another couple of weeks. At that point, a sonogram may be able to show whether you're carrying a boy or a girl--if your baby will cooperate and face the camera!

Baby's face is looking more human as his eyes have moved to the front of his head and his ears are in place. Hooray! Other amazing fetal highlights this week:

* Your baby is able to swallow this week and practices on the amniotic fluid he or she floats in. (And you thought baby food was kind of nasty!) And in case you're wondering how your kid can breathe in all that fluid, here's your answer: Fetuses get oxygen from the blood pumped into their bodies by the placenta and don't breathe with their lungs.

* Your baby's intestines are well under way, but they aren't all where you'd expect them to be. Instead of all being locked away in the body cavity, some are dangling on the outside, in the umbilical cord.

* Don't forget to put a baby nail file on your registry—your little nugget's finger- and toenails are forming this week. The chin and nose are also becoming more defined.

* Junior has doubled in size over the past two weeks and now weighs almost 1/2 ounce. He's also now around 2 1/2 inches long, about the length of your pinky finger, which, in a few months, will be indistinguishable from one another.

Tomorrow I have my 1st baby doctor appointment! Bob and I are so excited!! :)

Cravings...

Over the last few weeks I have wanted things for no particular reason... I just wanted them because they sounded good, and when they sounded good... I HAD TO have them! lol

1) Coney Island Hot Dogs
2) Taco's
3) Soft serve vanilla & chocolate swirl
4) Pickles

so far... that is my list of things I HAD TO HAVE lol

thus far, my pregnancy hasn't been that bad... the 95 degree heat has been making me feel lousy, but staying out of the sun and in AC'ed places has been the best bet for me.

Sleeping is becoming a bit uncomfortable, since I am a side sleeper and my sides kill within minutes of laying on them. So I have been sleeping on my back, which has helped.

I am really no longer having morning sickness. The only time I feel lousy is when I get to hungry... I start feeling blah.

Heart burn has been something I have been battling... but my doc told me to take Rolaids and yes, that has helped!!

so far.. it hasn't been so bad. I am still having anxiety about the labor and delivery but in the end I know I will be okay. It's just something new... something I have never had to go through. So it seems a bit scary...

Well I've got to run... talk again later.

*Can't wait to meet you <3

We are all waiting to meet you...

I am now 11 weeks pregnant! Everything is going well! I have an appointment with Dr. Michelle Hughes on August 31st! :) Bob and I took care of the health insurance last week... we have am appointment today at 2pm with Wic, just to get the paper work in order why not accept some extra help. My due date is March 9th 2010 ... which is a nice time, and at least I will be going through this pregnancy mostly through the winter months which is good!! Much cooler weather will be better, this 90 degree heat has been making me feel so sick. But for the most part my morning sickness has warn off and I have been able to enjoy this pregnancy. Mom and I went to babies r us on Saturday and I picked out a lot of things I wanted... and made a mental note of what I would register for when it was time to do so. Bob and I went to burlington and found a stroller we really like... again we will be registering for it when it's time. Mel and I started cleaning out the baby room yesterday ... and now all that is left in there is baby things!! Bob and I sat in there last night and talked a game plan on what exactly we want to do to decorate and whatnot. This pregnancy has really brought Bob and I much closer! I am so happy that Bob wants to be present at all the doctor appointments ... all appointments concerning baby and me. :) He's been great though... kissing my belly good night, taking care of me when I have been sick and unable to clean the house or cook, he has been so wonderful! <3 He's going to be a wonderful daddy. Well... I gotta get going

I am so excited... this pregnancy has really brought Bob and I much closer... he is so excited to be a daddy and of course I am excited to be a mommy! I am taking care of health insurance tomorrow... and then making my 1st OBGYN appointment and to have my 1st sonogram! Bob already told me he is going to accompany me to all my sonogram appointments, he said he doesn't want to miss a thing. It's nice to have him being such an active part of everything. We went baby shopping today (mostly browsing) but picking things out together is a great bonding experience! We are just so excited to be parents and to start this amazing journey... a long awaited journey.

Another Trip... I Love Traveling!

Well, I pulled out my suit cases today and started packing for my week long trip to the NH mountains! I'm so excited to get away!! Bob and I have been on so many adventures over the years... we are always packing our suit cases and taking off some place, it's what we do. We're not the type to stay in one place for to long... we get bored if we're standing still. And life is for living... so why not go out there and live it... see the world, do things you've always wanted to do, and live life to the fullest! Bob and I have been talking about taking a cross country road trip next summer... which will be totally awesome! We figured we would drive the top half of the country to California.. then stay in Cali for a week or so and then drive the bottom half of the country to come back. We have been researching all the amazing things to see and do along the way... The last time I went across the country on a road trip I saw... The Gateway Arch in St. Louis, Meteor Crater in Arizona, The Oklahoma City National Memorial, honoring those killed during the Oklahoma City bombing, The Grand Canyon, Kansas City honoring the wizard of oz, Yosemite National Park in California, Gettysburg PA, Taos New Mexico that has breath taking mountains, Lincoln Memorial, Washington, D.C. , Redwood National Park, CA you haven't seen trees till you have been there!, San Antonio Texas, Mississippi River, Dinosaur Tracks in St. George Utah, Lake Tahoe, Nevada for the most beautiful lake in the world!! and so much more... and then when we reached California we visited Disneyland & Universal Studios, Hollywood, The Chinese Grumann theatre, the walk of fame on Hollywood Boulevard, Santa Monica pier, San Diego, Irvine (where I grew up) there is just so much to see and do across the country... every time you go your able to see different things, which is one thing I love about it! Going on a cross country road trip is a remarkably freeing experience!

And once Bob and I have the money... we plan on traveling out of this country... we want to go to Venice Italy, Paris France, Ireland, Sweden, Australia, Egypt, Belgium... there is so much we want to do and see... and why not go out and see those places. You only live once so you gotta do it right. There is a whole world out there... and I plan I seeing as much of it as I can! :)
