Well, I never got a chance to write in here yesterday. What a day yesterday was! Well...It snowed about 13 inches on Friday and then Snowed all day yesterday too...which I think gave us a couple more inches. And then the weather man says we're getting more snow today too. Well, at least we know one thing...it'll be white on the ground for Christmas.
Yesterday, I needed to go Christmas shopping...What an adventure that turned into. My mom and I were heading toward the Galleria Mall but had to stop first in Fall River to get gas in my moms car because she was on empty. We got gas...and then went to take off, out the driveway of the gas station...and at that point it was hard to see because the snow was coming down pretty good. And they didn't really plow good at the gas station so it was hard to judge where the driveway ended. Needless to say, my mom went to take off and landed herself in a snow bank (with her front wheels in the air) I got out the car to see how bad it was, we were totally stuck. I had to run into the gas station and ask for a shovel...because they only way we were getting her car out of the snow bank was to dig down the snow to the ground to get her wheels back on the ground. At this point I had dug for about 5 minutes, I got the wheels pretty close to the ground so I tried pushing my moms car in hopes I could push it enough to get her car loose. At which point a lady who was getting gas saw me struggling to get the car free and ran over with a shovel to help me. My moms front tires and front undercarriage were completely stuck in the snow deep. Me and that lady kept digging and digging and digging, which felt like forever. Once we dug out the bottom of the front end, I saw that there was a huge piece of ice right under her tires...which was enabling them to pull the car out...instead they were just spinning. I was able to get the ice out from under the car. And I told my mom to get back in the car and start rocking the car (putting it in reverse and then quickly into drive a few times) and that worked...my moms car jerked free out of the snow! We said thank you to that lady that stopped to help, we never even got her name. She gave us both hugs and said without hesitation "That's what being an American is all about...helping our fellow Americans when in need" We said Merry Christmas and went our separate ways. It made me really open my eyes to people like that lady, who didn't have to stop but did anyway, because someone was in need. I am thankful for that lady yesterday...I hope she knows how much it meant to us for her to help, when plow guys kept passing us and wouldn't stop to help. I prob. will never see that lady again, but I hope I do.
Well, I never got a chance to go get a test..because my mom was with me all day. And I was out later than I had intended on being out. So I still don't know for sure. All I know is that I am now 7 days late. One whole week, which isn't totally odd for me. There are times I skip months all together. But this time I feel different. So hopefully it's not my body responding to my hopes. I want to be pregnant so badly! So we'll see I guess. Cross your fingers for me! :)
Today I have to wrap Christmas gifts...I don't have to many left to do. I did finish Christmas shopping yesterday. (Thank Goodness!!) Bob is going out with his friend Chris to Christmas shop today. And he's going to pick up a few odds and ends to finish up some gifts. As for me, I am staying home today...My back hurts today from yesterday shoveling and pushing my moms car out of that snow bank. So I'm just going to rest today.
Thanks about it for me today. Have a good day everyone!
