Well I was at work today...and the only thing parents, grandparents, teachers, kids, aunts, uncles, babysitters could talk about was the upcoming snow storm coming tomorrow afternoon. My boss made the decision to close work at 1pm tomorrow due to the storm and the safety of the children, parents and staff. I'm not complaining at all, I mean I get to leave work at 1pm on the Friday before Christmas, I'm quite happy actually.
It's funny living in this area how people get so worked up and over prepared for snow storms. I had to swing by the market to cash my pay check after work...and my god! There was tons and tons of people there buying milk, bread, water and canned goods as if the world is about to come to a screeching halt tomorrow!
I was talking to a girl that worked at the market and she said they had to call in all the staff because it's the busiest it's been all year today. People were in lines at the registers forever it seemed. At that moment I was so happy that I didn't need to buy anything.
And lets not forget every gas station I passed on the way home...cars in line around buildings to get gas before the storm comes. It just cracked me up watching all these people lose their minds over a snow storm.
Welp, 4 days late...my back hurts, that's the only new development I've got for you. Well, other than a headache today and tiredness. But it's hard to say with the busyness of Christmas...I just feel so worn out.
